A Veronica Lee Thriller, Book Two
Five of five stars
In Her Final Fall, we find reporter Veronica Lee working on a story at home when she receives a package. With a flash drive. With scenes from a horrific murder.
Faced with yet another killer who thinks he’s too wily to be caught, Veronica, the state prosecutor, and the chief of police, are hot on his trail; anxious to stop him BEFORE he claims his next victim. Because there is no doubt that he will.
Woodhall has done it again with Her Final Fall! Do we have a killer back from the dead? A copy cat? Simple revenge? As in volume one, the suspense is so thick you could slice it! I loved seeing these characters again. Their interconnection is key to the way the narrative flows, and I am thrilled knowing there will be more stories to come.
This is a great standalone read but read Her Last Summer first; it will give you that feeling of knowing and being invested in these great characters, and it will impel you to keep coming back for more.
